About Road to Seoul
Road to Seoul in Alhambra is a lively, casual, and highly energetic Korean barbecue destination that stands out for its spacious layout and modern dining experience. Known for offering a fun and vibrant atmosphere, it is a popular spot for large groups, families, and friends to gather around tabletop grills for an extensive all-you-can-eat (AYCE) meal. The restaurant seamlessly blends a traditional KBBQ setup with contemporary touches, featuring TV screens for sports and innovative robot servers that assist the floor staff in delivering items efficiently.
Located at 1 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801, Road to Seoul operates as a korean bbq serving Alhambra in California. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as barbecue restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Alhambra, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ2 am. Alhambra is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alhambra follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Tried the lunch special since thereβs always a dinner crowd. The price for the AYCE meat, seafood, and sides is unbeatable, but the food was hit-or-miss. The cucumbers and bean sprouts tasted off (not fresh), the pork belly was mostly mushy fat, and the bulgogi was too sweet for me. The drinks were not worth getting, especially the hot green tea ($3.99 for green tea water) for my Asian mama. However, the spicy tofu soup was great and the salad was fresh. Service was attentive but felt undertrained. Iβm on the fence about trying their dinner menu.

Busy spot right in the heart of Alhambra. Many dining options on the block. We arrived and we're instructed to check in to put our name on the list. Our wait time was about 15 minutes in a busy graduation day in the area. We ordered promptly and the robot brought out items quickly. The banchan area is self service. They have other items available in that area. There is a beer on draft and nice selection of soju. We went with the brisket, spicy bulgogi and spicy pork belly. Service was timely and there when we needed it. Pricing is on PAR for AYCE locations.

They have lunch specials (Happy Hour) Mon-Fri until 3pm for $22.99 per person. They have many types of meats and one type of shrimp. The meat is soooo good. You can season it on the grill. Their kimchi is amazing. It's hard to find good kimchi, but this was was delicious. Loved the brisket and the beef bulgogi. They have drinks and they also have an appetizer bar. They have orange slices and salad. Overall I would highly recommend. I'll be coming here again in the future!

The service is top notch - they even come to help you cook when they see you enjoying your meal! The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need. The all you can eat salad bar and sides are a game changer, with tasty kimchi, cucumber, and more. Definitely coming back for more! πΆοΈπ₯ #KBBQ #Foodie #Delicious #MustTry π΄

Just tried Korean BBQ and it did NOT disappoint! ππ₯ Service was incredibly good β the staff checked on us often and kept everything flowing smoothly. The meat portions were overflowing (literally had to make extra room on the table π ), and every cut was fresh and flavorful. The kimchi was also on point β perfectly balanced, not too sour, not too spicy, just the right kick to pair with the grill. Overall: amazing service, amazing food, and definitely worth coming back!
